🌲 Guest Speaker: Anton Nijhuis
Anton Nijhuis is a specialist in collecting trees from the wild (yamadori) and will be sharing his knowledge and experience with us. He is very well known in the North American bonsai community and his trees have been featured in the biggest shows on the continent.
Anton will talk about the process of finding and collecting quality material, what makes a tree worth collecting, and the considerations involved in successfully bringing wild trees into cultivation as bonsai.
Whether you have experience collecting or have always wanted to learn more about yamadori, this should be a fascinating and informative evening.
We will also be having a raffle of materials donated to club, so please bring $5 to support the fundraiser. Other donations are also welcome.
